Use just a very light coating of moisturizer after the primer. You want to keep makeup from caking in fine lines, but you do not want to create a greasy or slippery surface on your face. Apply a high quality concealer under the eyes and to cover any blemishes, discoloration or spots. Blend the concealer in gently but thoroughly. Avoid pulling or stretching the skin while applying the concealer.

Apply foundation with a new sponge, blending in downward strokes. Apply foundation all the way to your jaw line, but allow the product to taper off as you transition from jawline to neck.

Carefully line lips with a neutral or tinted lip liner. Gently blot the line so it is not stark or overly noticeable. Then use the lip liner pencil to color in your lips entirely. This will help keep your lipstick in place all day. Apply lipstick, blot with tissue, and apply lipstick again. Finish with a clear gloss that is not too shiny or sticky. A high-shine gloss does not photograph well.

Cover the lids with an eye primer specially formulated to absorb oil and prime eyes for makeup. This will prevent creasing and keep your eye makeup on all day. Apply a sparkly shade of eyeshadow to the brow bone and lid. Make sure to highlight the V on the inside corner of the eye by applying color into and around the corner. This will make your eyes appear large and wide open. Apply a mascara undercoat and allow it to dry before applying several coats of high-quality, waterproof mascara. Allow your lashes to dry between each coat.
